Rietfontein Road armed robber convicted for 10 years’ imprisonment

Maome said Kubeka was sentenced on March 8 to 10 years’ imprisonment.

Investigations by Det Sgt Mpho Makhubela from Primrose SAPS detective branch secured a conviction recently on a case of armed robbery, which happened on Rietfontein Road on January 16, 2019.

Sgt Styles Maome, the Primrose SAPS spokesperson, said police arrested four suspects for the crime.

“Three suspects were not found guilty and were acquitted; however, one suspect, identified as Sibusiso Solomon Kubeka, was found guilty.”

Maome said Kubeka was sentenced on March 8 to 10 years’ imprisonment. Makhubela thanked her colleagues, Sgt Richard Mothapo and Sgt Dlamini ZP, for the work done in effecting the arrest.

“The management of Primrose SAPS, under the leadership of station commander Solly Maswanganyi, would like to thank Makhubela for working hard to achieve this conviction,” said the Primrose SAPS spokesperson.
