They had a walk and ride against drugs in Kruger, Els and Voortrekker streets. “Different stakeholders, churches, trauma centres, local drug action committees and bikers gathered on Kruger Street to distribute pamphlets and urge the community to stop drug abuse,” said Elsburg SAPS spokesperson Daphney Phooko.
Information pamphlets on drug abuse and domestic violence were distributed to residents.

“Police provided precautionary measures to the community who needed help in getting rid of their habitual behaviour of drug abuse and urged to them come forth and seek help,” said Phooko.
