A man was apprehended for possession of narcotics valued at R5 500 on December 5.
EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said the drugs were confiscated.
“The man was apprehended at the corner of Van Den Berg and Kerk streets.
“EMPD officers found 12 ziplock bags of crystal meth, 11 ziplock bags of khat and 10 sealed glass tubes in his possession.
“This happened during a crime prevention operation in Elsburg area held by EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members.”

Mokheseng said the suspect faces a charge for the possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.
