A 44-year-old man was arrested for rape in Delport informal settlement on September 21.
According to the complainant, she was attacked while sleeping.
“The man grabbed her, undressed her and then raped her,” said Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome.

“After the incident, the complainant went to her daughter and later reported the incident to police.
“The investigation started immediately and the suspect was traced and arrested.”
He was detained at Primrose SAPS pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
