Seven suspects were arrested for possession of nyaope in Makause informal settlement on September 9.
The suspects were between the ages of 28 and 30 years.
The arrests were made by Primrose SAPS during a police operation.
“The police were conducting foot patrol and stop-and-search operations in the informal settlements. Officers searched three people and found them in possession of a powder wrapped in small plastic bags believed to be nyaope,” said Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome.
They were all arrested and detained at Primrose SAPS. They will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
