Employment scam a concern for CoE

“Job seekers are advised that no form of payment is needed for the city’s recruitment process.”

The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) warned job seekers to be cautious of an employment scam doing the rounds on various online platforms falsely advertising jobs on behalf of the city.

Nhlanhla Cebekhulu, CoE’s divisional head of communication and media relations, said the job advertisement lists many jobs, ranging from security officers to general workers and technicians.

“The advertisement lures the unsuspecting public to contact a certain Mr Makua for application details.”
