Four suspects arrested for possession of drugs

Police officers conducted a foot patrol in the informal settlement, which included stopping and searching community members.

Primrose SAPS arrested four suspects, aged between 32 and 39 years, for possession of drugs in Makause and Delport informal settlements in Primrose on August 19.

According to Primrose SAPS communications officer Sgt Styles Maome, police officers conducted a foot patrol in the informal settlement, which included stopping and searching community members.

“When the officers came across the four suspects they stopped them, introduced themselves and asked to search them. Upon searching them, police found suspects in possession of a powder wrapped in small plastics believed to be nyaope.” Maome added the suspects were arrested and detained at Primrose SAPS.

“They are set to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.”
