Sunnyridge Primary gets Covid-19 ready with help from local businesses

School principal Marianna Odendaal said they are grateful for the donation.

Sunnyridge Primary School received a donation of sanitiser stations, sanitisers and hand wash from local businesses recently.

The donations were made by Silvasons Hardware Building Supplies, BD Chemicals and Liberty Furniture.

Silvasons manager Trevor Da Silva said they responded to the school’s call for help from the community.

“The school requested aid in getting up to Covid-19 standards to reopen the school. As a business, we are part of the community. We wanted to help them and provide them with what they needed to ensure that the school was up to standard for it to be open and stay open.

“I was even happier to be able give back to my old school. I have amazing memories from this school and know the passion and dedication of the teachers,” said Trevor.

Trevor thanked the other businesses that contributed towards the donation.

“I know many businesses are facing difficult times because of Covid-19. I was pleased they were willing to join and help the school.”
