Five men found in possession of nyaope in Makause

Primrose police arrested five men, each on a charge of drug possession, during a foot patrol in the Makause informal settlement.

During a foot patrol in the Makause informal settlement, last Tuesday, officers from the Primrose Police Station arrested five men.

The suspects, aged between 23 and 36 years old, were each arrested on a charge of possession of drugs.

“In each of the arrests police introduced themselves to the suspects before searching them,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“In each of the suspects’ possession officers found nyaope.”

All of the arrested suspects were taken to the Primrose Police Station.

They will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
