Go online for an informative entrepreneurs’ workshop

Don’t miss out on the next Hirsch’s entrepreneurs’ workshop.

As we ease into the next stage of lockdown, which has seen a variety of businesses going back to work, it was apt that the recent entrepreneurs’ workshop hosts Margaret Hirsch (executive director of Hirsch’s) and Marlene Powell, one of the top business coaches in KwaZulu-Natal, as well as an ActionCOACH franchisee owner, covered the basics of getting back to business.

Margaret and Marlene were also joined by Niki Seberini, a Mind Freedom Fighter, and Erica Floweday, the operations director at Network Configurations.

Niki spoke about the importance of being able to navigate the new world that we see ourselves in by focusing on our mindset.

She discussed the importance of increasing our serotine levels by looking at everything that we are grateful for – and doing this every day to make it a daily habit.

Erica said Network Configurations has been busy during lockdown, helping business owners to become a lot more tech savvy by holding regular online training sessions.

She explained the importance of making sure one’s online security systems were firmly in place as there has been a spate in cyber hacking during this time.

With regard to virtual conferences, Erica said that Zoom was probably one of the easiest systems to navigate and explained the importance of locking a room once everyone was in so as not to let in hackers.

Marlene and Margaret gave some tips for staying focused and on track during the easing back to work process.

Marlene explained the importance of getting help if needed when starting a new business.

“We have found that people using business coaches find it a lot easier to stay grounded and work towards set achievable goals,” she said.

Join Hirsch’s and Marlene for their next weekly webinar on the Basic Fundamentals of Marketing.

The webinar will be held on May 15 between 11am and noon.
