ALERT: Four-vehicle collision on N12 highway in Germiston leaves two dead

Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services is on the scene.

Two people have died as a result of a four-vehicle collision on the N12 north highway at the Elands Interchange this afternoon (May 14).

The collision involved two trucks and two bakkies.

“Unfortunately two men were declared dead on the scene and a third has been taken to Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus in a critical condition,” said William Ntladi, district manager media liaison for Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS).

“Due to a huge amount of diesel spillage on the road, the N12 north highway joining the N3 highway, has been closed for clean-up operations to take place.”

The EMPD are on scene to conduct further investigations.
