Church’s soup kitchen helps feed the needy in Elsburg

In order to continue feeding the needy the soup kitchen needs donations of food.

The Elsburg Lede in Christus Kerk in Botha Street, Elsburg, has been hard at work feeding the community despite the national lockdown.

The church’s soup kitchen or sop kombuis as the church’s members call it has seen an increase in visitors.

“We couldn’t close as this is a time of great need,” said Rina Nel, who runs the soup kitchen with her husband, Rudie.

The soup kitchen is open from Monday to Friday.
