Germiston police arrest 72 suspects

Germiston police share their latest arrest statistics.

In an effort to curb crime in their precinct the Germiston SAPS took to the streets in several operations between April 13 and 26.

The operations led to the arrest of 72 suspects.

The suspects were arrested on a number of different charges.

Offences included contravening the Disaster Management Act (Covid-19 Act), dealing in drugs, possession of a dangerous weapon, common assault, reckless and negligent driving, dealing in dagga, domestic violence, malicious damage to property, possession of car break-in implements and possession of suspected stolen property.

All of the arrested suspects were taken to the Germiston Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
