Local company reaches out to assist its staff during lockdown
Management and senior staff of Skynet Worldwide Express donate R50 000 into a kitty to provide food parcels to their staff.
In a time where many find themselves in dire need due to lockdown, SkyNet Worldwide Express, an international courier company made a decision to reach out to their staff.
A decision was made to assist those staff members who are severely affected by lockdown by delivering food parcels to them.
SkyNet Worldwide Express is an international courier company providing essential services through these trying times.
“As a management initiative we decided to personally thank our staff for their hard work and being at the forefront during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We did this by means of management and senior staff personally donating R50 000 into a kitty to provide food parcels for our staff,” said Tommy Erasmus, CEO of SkyNet.

Erasmus approached Taso Christoforou of Meyersdal Mall, and with assistance from Spiro Yiannopoulos of Meyersdal SuperSPAR, they packed the R50 000 order for SkyNet.
“They agreed to take on the order and it took just under a week to pack the order for us.
“I collected the order on the afternoon of April 17.
“The parcels have been delivered to our staff in need who have given us their full support.
“The parcels were not only a means for the company to say thank you for all they are doing in these trying times, but also to alleviate the need of our vulnerable staff,” said Erasmus.
