A 32-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of house break-in and theft.
The arrest was made after police received information about the break-in from the Homestead home’s house sitter.

“The complainant claimed he was checking on the house while the rightful owners were away,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“He reportedly checked on the house each morning and evening.
“The break-in allegedly took place on the second day.”
The complainant reported that two TVs, clothing and a bicycle had been taken from the house.

“The estimated value of the items stolen was R100 000,” said Maome.
Following a brief investigation police were able to trace and arrest the suspect.
He was held at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
