Under the leadership of Col Pilot Mokgope, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station decided to make a difference in the community they serve during the 21-day lockdown.

A team visited several residents in need, last Friday, to donate food parcels.
“The parcels were given to community members who cannot afford food themselves,” said Const Sivenkosi Mtwa, communications officer for the Katlehong police.
“This initiative was started by SAPS members who contributed whatever amount of money they could spare.
“It is hoped that this will grab the attention of outside stakeholders and they will assist with continued efforts to help the community.”

The needy residents were identified by officers and detectives who work within the communities.
