EMPD promotes seven superintendents into chief superintendent posts

The newly promoted officers are ready to take on their new roles.

The EMPD recently appointed seven superintendents into vacant chief superintendent positions.

The ceremony took place at the EMPD’s head office in Kempton Park.

The EMPD’s Chief of Police, Isaac Jabulani Mapiyeye, and his management team have deployed the newly appointed commanders, four men and three women.

Three will be reporting in the east, two in the southern region and two are retained in the Specialised Services Division.

All of the promoted officers come from within the EMPD’s ranks.

They all have been taken through an intensive and rigorous training programme to enhance their managerial, technical and communication skills, in preparation for their new duties.

Their appointments were effective from April 1.
