Primrose police apprehend alleged house breaker

The Primrose police apprehended a 31-year-old suspect on a charge of house break-in and theft.

While away in Limpopo recently a Primrose homeowner received a call from his neighbour alerting him to a house break-in and theft at his Pretoria Road home.

The man immediately drove back to Primrose where he discovered his house had indeed been broken into and several items, to the value of R127 000, had been taken.

“When opening a case with the Primrose police the complainant explained that two laptops, hifi speakers, a cellphone, a DSTV decoder, two TVs, tent poles, a sleeping bag, iPad and the spare wheel for his caravan were all missing,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

After a brief investigation officers arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the crime.

He was arrested on a charge of house break-in and theft.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
