“We cannot tolerate bullies in our schools,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police during the visit.

“Your teachers are here to groom and teach future leaders, not thugs and thieves who belong in jail.”

Maome urged the children not to bring illegal items of any kind to school and announced in the new term police will be carrying out school searches.

“When walking home from school we urge learners not to have their earphones in their ears as this makes them vulnerable to crime as would-be criminals may target them to steal their cellphones,” said Maome.

Before leaving the police told the children to report any suspicious or criminal activities to the police by calling 071 675 6864/5/6/7/8/9 or the Primrose Police Station charge office on 011 842 0522.
