Concerned community member brings baby to police, mother arrested

A concerned community member recently brought a baby to the Primrose Police Station. “He told officers in the station’s charge office that he had found the baby, believed to be about a year old, at around 1pm that afternoon,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Covid-19: Ekurhuleni releases plans for metro area during national lockdown

The metro outlined a list of measures to continue providing essential services during the lockdown declared by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Neighbour alerts mother to alleged rape

A 30-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of rape. The arrest was made after the mother of the victim reported the alleged incident to police.

Covid-19: Bowling club issues warning to tournament attendees after spectator tests positive 

Modderfontein Bowling Club urged players and spectators who attended the recent Ekurhuleni Bowls Inter-District B Tournament hosted by Ekurhuleni Bowls to take precautions after Bowls Gauteng North informed the club that a spectator had tested positive for Covid-19. The tournament was held from March 9 to 13.
