Woman’s vehicle allegedly damaged by suspect in Primrose

Primrose police apprehended a suspect on a charge of malicious damage to property.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 46-year-old woman on a charge of malicious damage to property.

The suspect was arrested in Shamrock Road after a case was opened at the Primrose Police Station.

“The complainant alleged she planned to go shopping at The Rose Mall when an unknown woman attacked her vehicle in the parking lot,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“The suspect allegedly called the complainant names and punched at her car with her fists.

“To avoid a confrontation, the complainant claimed she went into the shops, but when she returned the suspect was still waiting for her.

“She allegedly swore at her and pushed her.”

The complainant noticed that her vehicle had a number of dents in it, and the damage amounted to R3 000.

The suspect was arrested and appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where her case was postponed for plea and trial.
