School invites children to share their thoughts on Covid-19

Keep your mind active by writing an essay.

South Africa is in a 21-day lockdown due to the coronavirus.

“We all feel depressed, afraid and have anxiety, but the lockdown we’re facing is necessary and we should take precautions and find ways to keep safe and yet also focus on our school homework and assignments,” said Nadia Gaffoor, the principal of Germiston-based Bowen International School.

“By doing so one can distract one’s mind a bit from the reality we are facing.”

Bowen International School has decided to invite all learners from Grades Four to 11 to participate in an essay writing competition.

Entries need to be submitted by email to principal@bowenschools.co.za by no later than April 16.
