Katlehong SAPS aim to serve community with pride

The Katlehong police shared their weekend arrest statistics.

Officers from Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station and members of the EMPD took to the streets of Katlehong in several weekend operations.

The operations were held throughout the precinct between March 20 and 22, and led to the arrest of 19 suspects.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Katlehong Police Station.

The suspects were charged with various offences.

Charges included common assault, domestic violence, pointing a firearm, possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, robbery, malicious damage to property, theft, shoplifting, dealing in drugs, possession of drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Phakama Gcaza assured the community that the officers from the Katlehong Police Station strive to protect the community and serve them with pride.
