Four nabbed in stop-and search operation

Katlehong police shared their successes.

In an effort to curb crime in their precinct Katlehong police took to the streets to conduct a stop-and-search operation last Tuesday.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Katlehong Police Station’s Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

The accused were arrested for various offences.

Charges included common assault, domestic violence, house break-in and theft and warrant of arrest after the suspect failed to appear in court.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Phakama Gcaza was pleased with the arrests made during the operation.
