Car crashes into wall in Wadeville leaving two dead

Two men died in an accident in Wadeville.

An Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) team from Wadeville Fire Station rushed to the scene of an accident at 10.30am last Saturday.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Bezuidenhout and Wadeville roads in Wadeville.

“The two male occupants of the vehicle were found to be unresponsive to pre-hospital medical treatment and were declared dead by paramedics on the scene,” said William Ntladi, district manager media liaison for DEMS.

“It is alleged that the driver of the vehicle was driving at a very high speed before the vehicle crashed against the perimeter wall of a factory, fatally wounding the driver and his passenger.”

The rescue team had to use the Jaws of Life to recover the men’s bodies from the wrecked vehicle.

The scene was handed over to the EMPD for further investigation and to the forensic pathologists for the removal of the bodies to an appropriate facility.
