Primrose High School was once again honoured and humbled by a donation from Edenvale-based company Kärcher on Thursday.
This is the third year the company has supported the school, and the sizeable donation of R162 000 will be used to subsidise the school fees of 27 children.
Over the years, the company has also sponsored athletes and donated computers and plans to donate more computers to the school later in the year.
“The company believes we need to be consistent in our efforts to assist the school and not be a one-hit wonder,” said managing director of Kärcher Blaine Carstens.
The company was presented with certificates of appreciation by the school, and school governing body chairperson Gloria Barcelos said, “We are ecstatic with the donation.

“It helps the school so much to be able to subsidise our underprivileged learners.”
Barcelos added that Kärcher is also one of the companies which assist the school with their feeding scheme.
“It is a great honour to have them on board with us as the company helps us significantly,” said Barcelos.
