Primrose police pounce on criminals

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police arrested 26 suspects between February 20 and 26.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were charged with a number of different offences.

Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, domestic violence, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless and negligent driving, possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition, business break-in with the intent to steal, dealing in liquor without a licence, malicious damage to property and shoplifting.

Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines at the station and were released.
