Sunday afternoon collision leaves one dead

Netcare 911 paramedics were called to the scene of a collision in Katlehong last Sunday afternoon, at about 12.01pm.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a truck were involved in a collision on Heidelberg Road,” said Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that the driver of the light motor vehicle, an adult male, had sustained fatal injuries.

“He was declared dead on the scene.”

The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision.
