Primrose police celebrate conviction

Primrose police celebrated the conviction of Sempe Ralebaka (43) who was found guilty of murder and entering South Africa illegally.

Sempe Ralebaka (43) was recently found guilty of murder and entering South Africa illegally.

He was sentenced in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court to 13 years’ direct imprisonment for the murder charge and six months for entering the country illegally.

He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Ralebaka was arrested by the Primrose police’s Det Sgt Sila Machava who investigated the 2018 murder which took place in the Makause informal settlement.

Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked Machaba for his hard work and dedication.

“Successes such as this show criminals they cannot run away from the law,” said Vesi.

“If you commit a crime, we, the police, will hunt you down until you are brought to book.”
