The Katlehong SAPS arrested six suspects between January 31 and February 2.
The arrests were made by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station and members of the EMPD, during a number of stop-and-search operations and roadblocks held throughout their policing precinct.

The suspects were charged with various offences.
Charges included:
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 2
• Shoplifting: 2
• Theft: 2
• Malicious damage to property: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
