Fifteen suspects were arrested by the Katlehong North police during a series of weekend operations.

The operations were held between January 31 and February 2.
The suspects were charged with a number of different offences.
Charges included driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, common assault and domestic violence.
Among the arrested suspects was a 26-year-old man who was arrested on a charge of rape.
The man was arrested after his 14-year-old niece opened a case against him, despite him allegedly threatening to kill her if she told anyone of the alleged rape.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
