Annual donation brings smiles to Lambano Sanctuary

SA Guizhou Chamber of Commerce brings joy to Lambano Sanctuary.

A festive spirit surrounded Lambano Sanctuary in Malvern East recently when the SA Guizhou Chamber of Commerce came for their annual visit.

The chamber, which is based in Kempton Park, has been visiting Lambano for the past five years with donations of much-needed items under the leadership of their president, Ying Yuan.

“After listening to the story of the sanctuary I was touched by this, and knew that we should help,” said Ying.

As a director of a company she also feels she needs to fulfil a social responsibility to society.

Each year the chamber asks Lambano for a list of items they are in need of, and last year their donation was comprised of rice, other groceries, toiletries and clothing.

The members of the chamber get together and raise funds to purchase the items.

The chamber has about 100 members from all fields of business and local communities.

Lambano Sanctuary was thrilled with the donation of much-needed items.
