Print Exclusive: Roseacres celebrates World Prematurity Day

Life Roseacres Hospital celebrated World Prematurity Day, last Friday, with a special talk by paediatrician Dr Hassina Ebrahim.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 15 million babies born worldwide are premature.

It is estimated one in 10 newborn babies will be premature and require special care.

In honour of this, World Prematurity Day is celebrated globally, on November 17, and celebrates all the babies born too soon.

Life Roseacres Hospital took the opportunity to celebrate this special day, last Friday, and to educate the hospital’s staff and the community on premature births, with a special talk by paediatrician Dr Hassina Ebrahim.
