Men allegedly found with vehicle break-in implements

Primrose police apprehended three men on a charge of possession of vehicle break-in implements.

While on a routine patrol in Rietfontien Road last Tuesday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed three men acting suspiciously.

Police approached the men, aged between 38 and 41, and asked to search them.

“During the search, police found several vehicle break-in implements, including a sharp Allen key, which is believed to have been used to break the ignition of cars,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“When questioned about the items, the suspects could not give police a clear explanation as to why they had the items in their possession.”

The men were arrested on a charge of possession of vehicle break-in implements.

They were taken to the Primrose Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
