In a continued effort to curb crime in the Katlehong area, a team from the Katlehong Police Station held a stop-and-search operation on Wednesday.

The team was made up of officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.
Four suspects were arrested for various offences during the operation.
Charges included:
• Warrant of arrest: 2
• Common assault: 1
• Domestic violence: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo urged the community to be responsible citizens and report any criminal activities they witness to police immediately.
