Three alleged dagga dealers found with R30 000 worth of dagga

EMPD officers arrest three in possession of dagga.

Three suspicious-looking men found standing idle next to a confectionery shop in Palima section, Katlehong, last Sunday, were approached and searched by members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit.

During the search the officers allegedly discovered dagga in the men’s possession.

They confiscated the dagga and arrested the men, between the ages of 21 and 42, at noon.

The dagga, valued at R30 000 on the street, was found in four plastic bags, 10 ziplock bags, and 11 paper wrapped parcels.

The men also had R2 346 cash in their possession believed to be the proceeds of dealing in dagga.

The men were taken to the Katlehong Police Station where they were charged with possession of and dealing in dagga.

The arrested suspects are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
