Businesswomen are inspired at networking event

Women treated to a networking event with two inspirational guest speakers.

Businesswomen and entrepreneurs within the community recently gathered at Hirsch’s Meadowdale for the monthly Women’s Networking event hosted by the store.

The guest speaker at the event was award-winning businesswoman Margaret Hirsch.

Margaret has become a leading example to businesswomen in South Africa, coming from a humble background to co-founding and running the multi-million Rand appliance and electronic retail organisation, Hirsch’s.

The women who attended the recent Hirsch’s Meadowdale Women’s Networking event at the store.

“Over the years, Margaret has been recognised for the good work she has done in the business community throughout South Africa, helping aspiring entrepreneurs to reach their goals and motivating schoolgirls from underprivileged areas to attend school on a regular basis with the Girls With Dignity project,” said public relations officer for Hirsch’s Meadowdale Chantelle du Plessis.

Well-known Dynamic Life coach Lizette Volkwyn was also a guest speaker at the event.

She has a passion to empower individuals to excel in life.

Her expertise extends to human lie detection, NLP, training, writing and public speaking.

Being one of the top three Emerging Entrepreneurs for Business Women in South Africa 2018, a finalist for Margaret Hirsh’s Business Woman of the Year, and now a nominee for Changemaker SA, she prides herself on not leaving any stone unturned until goals and positive results have been achieved.

She started her talk by sharing her personal experience of self-exploration and how the realisation of her power impacted her life.

After Lizette’s talk, Hirsch’s had the pleasure of congratulating Madishego Mgwenya for being the latest finalist in the Margaret Hirsch Women in Business Achiever Awards.

She was rewarded with a finalist certificate and Hirsch’s voucher.
