Making a difference in young girls lives

Re/Max All Stars holds Dignity Day workshops and donate washable sanitary pads and panties to underprivileged Grade Seven girls in their community.

Re/Max All Stars are determined to make a difference in the lives of young girls in their community.

The company is aiming to ensure underprivileged Grade Seven girls in their community do not miss any school days by supplying them with washable sanitary pads and panties.

“The reusable nature of a washable sanitary product has the benefit of providing long-lasting and ongoing support to the girls,” said sales and marketing associate, Nadia Aucamp.

“We have no doubt that this exciting and uplifting project will have a massively beneficial impact on the girls in our community.”

In addition to the donations, the team has hosted two Dignity Day workshops for Grade Seven girls in the community.

“The workshops help young girls learn who they are, where they belong and what their purpose is,” said Nadia.

“We also teach them about their bodies, puberty and so much more to empower them as young women.

“There are still many of these workshops planned for 2019 and 2020.

“Our aim for this project is to reach more than 600 school girls in our community and with all of the Dignity Day workshops planned we will definitely reach our target.”

The latest leg of the project saw the team, together with Riverside Church, visiting Primrose Primary School.

“It really touched our hearts to make a difference in these girls’ lives, and it was rewarding to us on a different level,” said Nadia.
