“The main focus of the campaign was burglaries, theft of motor vehicles and theft,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

A number of safety tips pamphlets were handed out during the campaign.

“We once again appeal to our community not to park their vehicles on the pavements,” said Maome.

“We further encourage them to invite their guests to park their vehicles inside their properties, even if it is for a short time.”

Maome thanked the local community patrollers and the youth desk members for their efforts.

“We are grateful for their help in the fight against crime and we hope the community will take the safety tips to heart,” said Maome.
