Two nabbed for Wannenburg house break-in

Primrose police apprehend two suspects on a charge of house break-in and theft.

Primrose police recently arrested two suspects, aged 18 and 22 years respectively, on a charge of house break-in and theft.

This was after a Wannenburg homeowner reported the crime to police.

“The complainant explained that she left her home as normal in the morning, ensuring everything was locked,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“At around 3.20pm her neighbour phoned her to tell her that her home had been broken into.”

She raced home.

“When she arrived home she found that her kitchen door and security gate had been damaged and forced open,” said Maome.

“When she checked her CCTV footage she allegedly identified her eldest daughter and two friends as the suspects.

“She further alleged that her daughter passed items out of the house to her friends who were waiting in the garden.”

After a brief investigation police arrested two suspects.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.

“A manhunt continues for the remaining suspect,” said Maome.
