Take note of these changes ahead for the Din-Al-View CPF

Din-Al-View CPF committee asks members to take note of a few changes.

The new Din-Al-View CPF committee has been elected and members have been busy behind the scenes, as well as at public functions.

Two changes are ahead that will directly affect CPF members.

Monthly meetings will now be held on the second Thursday of each month at a new venue.

The new venue is Christian Faith Fellowship Church situated at 129 Jacoba Road (corner of Cornelius Road), Norton Small Farms.

The meeting time remains the same, 6pm for 6.30pm.

There is ample parking on the church grounds behind a locked gate.

The second date to note is October 19.

This is important for all users of the two-way VHF radios on the CPF network.

A tone change will take place outside Merv’s Hardware, situated in Hatfield Avenue, Albemarle, between 9am and 1pm.

Without having the radio software updated, transmitting and receiving of future radio communications will no longer be possible.

A charge of R100 per radio will be levied for the change.

This is used to contribute towards ICASA radio licence fees.

Anyone who is unable to personally bring the radio on October 19 is free to hand the radio and fee to either Jenny Williams or Barry Dijkman after making arrangements on the Radio User WhatsApp Group, alternatively call Din-Al-View CPF on 063 218 5815 to arrange for a “drop-off”.

Any radio brought for update after October 19 will incur an additional charge of R100, resulting in a R200 levy.

The CPF works in conjunction with the SAPS to improve the safety of our suburbs and any resident or owner of a business within Dinwiddie, Albemarle, Castleview, Union or Norton Small Farms east on the N3 is encouraged to work with the CPF to reduce crime in the sector.

The public relations officer of the CPF is Dhanjay Ramjass, who will be able to provide more information and membership application forms.

He can be contacted on 083 382 6007.

There are no CPF membership fees.

As the CPF is registered as a non-profit organisation, donations are tax deductible.
