The members of the Elspark/Freeway Park CPF have decided to take the renovation of the Elspark Park into their own hands.
“Nothing has been done to this park in Raven Street for years.

“The playground equipment is broken and rusted and children can get hurt,” said Mary Bester, the public relations officer for the Elspark/Freeway Park CPF.
The CPF wants new playground equipment, as well as gym equipment for the park, but have not had any success with obtaining this.

“We are feeling proud to see children playing in the park again, although there is still plenty of work to be done,” said Mary.
“We are doing this for our community’s children.”
