Katlehong SAPS continued their efforts to curb crime in the area with another stop-and-search operation.
The operation, held last Tuesday, was conducted by officers from the Katlehong Police’s Crime Prevention Unit.
Five suspects were arrested for various offences.

Charges included:
• Common assault: 2
• Rape:1
• Child negligence:1
• Possession of drugs: 1.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Col Sammy Thambo encouraged the community to report crime to the police as soon as it happens.
