Paramedics rush to shooting incident in Germiston

A man was shot when an armed robbery occurred at a local store.

A 37-year-old man was left critically injured last Thursday following an alleged armed robbery at a store on Plantation Road in Germiston.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.21pm to find a man lying inside the shop.

“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and was in a critical condition,” said Russel Meiring, from the ER24 communications office.

“The man was treated for his injuries and provided with several advanced life support interventions after which he was transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further care.”
