Community members and Osman’s Optical staff members braved the cold and spent the morning cleaning Hout Park, located on the corner of Second Street and Second Avenue, and the park located on the corner of Shamrock Road and Beaconsfield Avenue in Primrose.

“This was a truly wonderful project,” said Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer who helped pick up litter in Hout Park.

“Despite the last minute preparations, and no attendees at our Primrose clean-up, we were fortunate to have had an enjoyable day,” said Suhayl Rehman, from Osman’s Optical.

“It was a pleasure contributing to the area and community around us and we intend carrying out initiatives such as these in future, with some earlier planning.”
