Experts in learning and teaching materials are also on hand to share their insights with parents, guardians and children on what books to read for learning and fun.
The fair includes a focus on the role of visual storytelling that can be experienced in multiple ways.
The Oval Atrium in the Women’s Jail at Constitution Hill has is a gallery for this year’s fair, featuring the work of children’s book illustrators Mogau Kekana, illustrator of Refiloe Moahloli’s Yes, Yanga! and Toby Newsome.

The Illustration Exhibition also showcases a range of engaging works by comic book illustrators Loyiso Mkhize, Clyde Beech and Nathi Ngubane, providing a fascinating pause from the jam-packed offerings at the fair.
