Fun and laughter fill the week

SAVF Kinross Herberg and SAVF Della Villa Behuising have a fun-filled week.

It was a busy week at SAVF Kinross Herberg and SAVF Della Villa Behuising recently.

The old age homes received visits from learners from Institute Acres Secondary School and Jeppe High School for Girls and hosted a bingo morning.

“There wasn’t a dull moment,” said Carmelita de Wet, manager of Kinross and Della Villa.

The week began with a donation of blankets from the learners of Jeppe High School for Girls.

“The girls donated 100 knitted and crocheted knee blankets to our elderly residents,” said Carmelita.

“It was a welcome and generous gift.”

Kinross then held a bingo morning, inviting the residents of SAVF Die Anker to join them.

“It was a fun-filled morning with lots of laughter and great prizes,” Carmelita said.

“We will definitely host another bingo morning.”

The week ended with a visit from learners from Institute Acres Secondary School.

“The learners decided to dedicate their time to the home as part of a school assignment,” explained Carmelita.

“It was a great afternoon and the learners were awestruck by the vivacity of the residents.”

The learners enjoyed a walk with residents before switching on some music and dancing.

“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this extraordinary week possible,” said Carmelita.
