Burst Rand Water supply line leaves several Germiston suburbs dry

Several Germiston suburbs were left without water last Saturday. The cause of the outage, according to Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan, was a burst Rand Water supply pipe.

Rand Water estimates water will be restored tomorrow afternoon

Many Germiston suburbs were still without water last Sunday after a Rand Water supply line pipe burst on Saturday morning. Despite the efforts by Rand Water technicians to repair the pipe and restore water to the affected areas, water had still not been restored.

Rand Water confident water will be restored today

After several days without water residents from a number of Germiston suburbs are at their wits’ end, however, there was some good news as Rand Water released a statement last Monday morning stating the water should be fully restored later in the day.

The Primrose police are urging the community to be on the lookout for several suspicious vehicles that they believe have been used in the commission of crimes in the area.

While temperatures in South Africa are moderate at the moment, winter is far from over, according to the South African Weather Service. The service says several cold fronts are expected this month.
