A fun-filled day at Ahgie-fest

Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston hosts another spectacular festival.

Once again the Germiston community showed immense support for the annual Ahgie-festival hosted by Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston.

Jenny Dawes and Georgia Girl (13) from Paws share a kiss after an exciting dog show at the Ahgie-festival hosted by Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston on Saturday.

The festival took place on Saturday, and saw local foodies taking pleasure in their pick of tasty treats from a variety of food stalls, while entertainers wowed crowds on the Coca-Cola stage.

Ruan Lubbe and Luchelle Theunissen were delighted with the fun and food offered at the Ahgie-festival on Saturday.

The much-loved tea garden, boasting freshly prepared baked goods, attracted guests of all ages.

A host of games ranging from thrills on the jumping castles and chills in the famous horror house kept children entertained.

After their shift at the tea garden at the Ahgie-festival came to an end, Rorisang Morena, Usincede Dondolo, Natali Pieterse, Karabo Mokou, Latifah Baleni and Lukhanyo Mancoba were ready to join in the festival fun on Saturday.

The festival also included flea market stalls offering an array of items on sale, a dog show by Paws and electrifying performances from Honour Wresting Association (HWA) wrestlers.
