Katlehong police are striving to curb crime in the area.
A team from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit held a stop-and-search operation in the area last Monday.

The operation led to the arrest of five suspects for various offences.
Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 2
• House break-in and theft: 1
• Possession of suspected stolen property: 1
• Dealing in dagga: 1

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo commended the team on their efforts.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
